Caring for China.

Filed under: Uncategorized — by meblog @ 10:31 pm

Caring for China (C4C) is a growing non-profit organization with a dream to change the world… or at least a piece of it. Like any other non-profit, we are dependent on donations from people like you, but…

Here is a chance to give to a great cause without it costing you a penny!

All we need is for you to write a blog post. If enough people write about Caring for China, Zemanta will donate to C4C part of the thousands of dollars it is giving away!

Hey, post a link to this post on Facebook, Twitter, and everywhere else too, will ya?

Here are the instructions from Zemanta, the sponsor of this project.

  1. Blog about your favorite non-profit (Caring for China, right?) and why their work makes a difference. (If you want to, you can just copy this post. It is free for the copying.)
  2. Paste this text and link to the end of your post. Without this text and link, we will be unable to track and credit your charitable cause as part of this campaign:
This blog post is part of Zemanta’s “Blogging For a Cause” campaign to raise awareness and funds for worthy causes that bloggers care about.
  3. Publish your post!!
  4. Then go tell your friends to do the same!

Will you help today?

Here is a summary, from the website, of what C4C is all about:

China is quickly and peacefully becoming a modern, capitalist democracy. Well, quickly in comparison to its five thousand year history, and in comparison to other nations in the past. Few nations, have made this transition peacefully.

China might.

To make this huge transition, though, China is going to need a lot of support from the rest of the world. Even more importantly the people of China need our support in this difficult period of Chinese history.

The Caring for China Center was founded to help the people of China to survive in this restless time and to seize this moment of opportunity.

Thanks!

6 oz. choco chips (semi-sweet)

1 Box German chocolate cake mix

3/4 c. melted butter

Combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Melt in
microwave or over low heat, stirring constantly. Set aside. Grease a 13 x
9-inch glass dish . Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts.
Stir together until somewhat firm. Press 1/2 of mixture in bottom of glass
dish. Bake at 350 for 6 minuets. Sprinkle chocolate chips over cooked cake
mixture while it is still hot. Pour caramel mixture over chips. Bake ate 350

FORREST GUMP GOES TO HEAVEN

Filed under: Uncategorized — by meblog @ 8:31 pm

The day finally arrived. Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven. He is at the
Pearly Gates, met by St. Peter himself. However, the gates are closed, and
Forrest approaches the gatekeeper.

St. Peter said, “Well, Forrest, it is certainly good to see you. We have
heard a lot about you. I must tell you, though, that the place is filling
up fast, and we have been administering an entrance examination for
everyone. The test is short, but you have to pass it before you can get
into Heaven.”

Forrest responds, “It sure is good to be here, St. Peter, sir. But nobody
ever told me about any entrance exam. I sure hope that the test ain’t too
hard. Life was a big enough test as it was.”

St. Peter continued, “Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is only three
questions.

First: What two days of the week begin with the letter T?
Second: How many seconds are there in a year?
Third: What is God’s first name?”

Forrest leaves to think the questions over. He returns the next day and
sees St. Peter, who waves him up, and says, “Now that you have had a chance
to think the questions over, tell me your answers.”

Forrest replied, “Well, the first one — which two days in the week begins
with the letter “T”? Shucks, that one is easy. That would be Today and
Tomorrow.”

The Saint’s eyes opened wide and he exclaimed, “Forrest, that is not what I
was thinking, but you do have a point, and I guess I did not specify, so I
will give you credit for that answer. How about the next one?” asked St.
Peter.

“How many seconds in a year? Now that one is harder,” replied Forrest, but
I thunk and thunk about that, and I guess the only answer can be twelve.”

Astounded, St. Peter said, “Twelve? Twelve? Forrest, how in Heaven’s name
could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?”

Forrest replied, “Shucks, there’s got to be twelve: January 2nd, February
2nd, March 2nd… “

“Hold it,” interrupts St. Peter. “I see where you are going with this, and
I see your point, though that was not quite what I had in mind….but I
will have to give you credit for that one, too. Let us go on with the third
and final question. Can you tell me God’s first name”?

“Sure,” Forrest replied, “it’s Andy.”

“Andy?” exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St Peter.

“Ok, I can understand how you came up with your answers to my first two
questions, but just how in the world did you come up with the name Andy as
the first name of God?”

“Shucks, that was the easiest one of all,” Forrest replied. “I learnt it
from the song, “ANDY WALKS WITH ME, ANDY TALKS WITH ME, ANDY TELLS ME I AM
HIS OWN.”

St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates, and said: “Run Forrest, run.”

This was a forwarded email. I don’t know the original source.

Me Papa

Filed under: Uncategorized — by meblog @ 3:59 am

Ok, we were at church tonight. It was after service and Dad was ready to go home. So he walked up behind someone he thought was Mom and started rubbing her shoulders, which is his way of saying, it’s time to go, so finish up the conversation. Bro. David said you know that’s not you’re wife right. The lady turned around and Dad’s face went bright red. All of them started laughing. Mom and the lady (I don’t know her name) were both wearing red shirts and have similar hair cuts and color. I had to ask what was going on because I had no idea. When I found out I laughed too.
